The Tilta TGA-REA extender arm goes between the rosette on a cage or gimbal and the rosette of the handle. Both ends follow the ARRI standard, so the arm links any two rosette parts and lets you set the angle and the distance of the handle exactly to the way you hold the rig. The body also carries 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads for further accessories.

A handle screwed straight onto the rosette of a cage or gimbal has only one position. The TGA-REA extender arm adds a second joint between them: one end grips the rosette of the rig, the other carries a rosette for the handle. The angle is set at each end separately, so your hand can move further from the camera body and to a different tilt.

ARRI rosette at both ends

Both ends of the arm carry an ARRI standard rosette, so it fits any rosette part — a cage, a gimbal adapter or a handle. Each end tightens with its own screw and holds the angle you set independently of the other.

1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads on the body

The arm is more than a link. Along its length it carries 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads, so a wireless receiver, a small articulating arm or a cable clamp can hang on it without taking up room on the cage.

The handle where it belongs

A longer reach moves the handle forward or down, so the wrist is not twisted and the weight of the rig goes into the forearm. On longer handheld takes the difference shows within the first few minutes.

At home in the DJI Ronin ecosystem

The maker counts the arm as part of the accessory range for DJI Ronin gimbals. It is most often paired with the TGA-NRA-L and TGA-NRA-R adapters, which are what put a rosette on the gimbal in the first place.

The arm is not symmetrical — it joins two rosettes, so it can be turned either way and used between two parts of a cage as well. Tighten the rosette at both ends properly: the teeth only hold the angle once they are fully meshed.
