The Tilta MB-T16-RCF rotatable tray holds any 95 mm circular filter in the Mirage matte box and lets it turn a full 360° — just like the rotatable Mirage modules. Fine-tune a polarizer against reflections from water or glass, or level a streak effect filter with the horizon. The geared ring on top turns by hand, with the Advanced Control Knob, or wirelessly with the Mirage or Nucleus Nano motor.

The Tilta Rotatable Circular Filter Tray is a rotatable tray for the Mirage matte box: the 95 mm circular filter sits on a geared ring and turns 360° without you touching the glass. It turns any 95 mm polarizer or effect filter into a rotatable module — and at 52.7 g it adds practically nothing to the build.

Polarization and horizon under control

The tray slides into the Mirage matte box like any other, and the filter in it turns with the geared ring on the top edge. With a 95 mm polarizer you set the exact angle at which it cuts reflections from water, glass or paint while colors stay rich; with effect filters such as a streak filter you level the flare lines with the horizon so they run straight across the frame. Rotation is a full 360°.

By hand, by knob or by motor

The geared ring turns with a finger, but the top edge of the tray has M3 mounting points for the Advanced Control Knob, the Mirage wireless motor or the Nucleus Nano motor via its adapter — so polarization or filter angle can be changed remotely, just like the density of the VND module. The sides carry points for the light clamp-on adapter, which lets the tray sit directly on a 95 mm lens without a matte box. The body is aluminum alloy, 109 × 122 mm, 52.7 g.

The Tilta Mirage matte box

Mirage is a lightweight matte box for 95 mm circular filters: it mounts to the lens with an adapter ring matching the filter thread, filters sit in stackable trays and an optional wireless motor turns the VND module. The parts of the Mirage family combine — rings, trays, VND, 15 mm rod support and hood all belong to the same matte box, including this one.
