The Saramonic Blink500 T4 is a 2.4 GHz wireless microphone system for four speakers. Four transmitters with built-in microphones and supplied lavalier mics send audio to a single receiver, which outputs it mixed to mono, in stereo or as four separate tracks. It suits interviews, podcasts, conferences and multi-person shoots; the range is up to 100 m and a transmitter runs for approximately 12 hours.

Transmitter with a built-in microphone

Each transmitter has a 4 mm omnidirectional condenser microphone, so you can simply clip it onto clothing. The supplied SR-M1 lavalier microphone plugs into its 3.5 mm input. The +/- buttons set the gain in seven levels, and pressing both together turns noise cancellation on.

One receiver for four transmitters

The receiver pairs with up to four transmitters. Its 3.5 mm TRRRS output delivers audio mixed to mono, split into stereo or as four separate tracks. The 3.5 mm headphone output lets you monitor the sound continuously, and the MUTE button silences the whole output.

Stereo or four tracks

In stereo, transmitters 1 and 3 go to the left channel and transmitters 2 and 4 to the right. The supplied 3.5 mm TRRRS to 4× 3.5 mm TRS cable breaks out four separate tracks; the optional SR-C2026 cable takes them to the XLR inputs of a mixer or recorder.

Everything in one case

The transmitters, receiver, lavalier microphones and cables each have their own place in the zippered hard case. The kit is packed as soon as the shoot is over and nothing gets lost.

Approximately 12 hours of operation

A transmitter with a 300 mAh battery runs for approximately 12 hours, the receiver with a 400 mAh battery for approximately 8 hours. The units charge over USB-C in about 2.5 hours; the box contains two charging cables, each splitting into three USB-C connectors.

48 kHz / 24-bit audio

A frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, a signal-to-noise ratio above 80 dB and a maximum SPL of 120 dB. Transmission latency is 25 ms.

Noise cancellation

The noise cancellation algorithm reduces ambient noise while keeping the 48 kHz format. It is switched on separately on each transmitter, and the indicator then lights green.

Paired at the factory

The transmitters and receiver connect by themselves when switched on. If the link is lost, hold the power button for 5 seconds on the switched-off units and they re-pair within 10 seconds.

Camera and phone

A 3.5 mm TRRRS to TRS camera cable and a 3.5 mm TRRRS to TRRS phone cable are both in the box. Both are designed specifically for this receiver.

The back of the transmitter carries a fixed clip, the side a 3.5 mm input for the lavalier microphone with a USB-C charging port below it. The transmitter measures 60.8 × 42.5 × 16.2 mm and weighs 34 g, so it does not drag clothing down.
