The Saramonic Ultra 01 is a professional two-channel wireless microphone system for content creators, filmmakers and ENG crews. Its two black clip-on transmitters have built-in omnidirectional MEMS microphones that handle up to 130 dB SPL without distortion. 32-bit float onboard recording with 8 GB of memory gives wide dynamic range and a backup of the wireless feed, while integrated timecode makes precise sound-and-picture sync in post easy.

A transmitter with 8 GB of memory

The transmitter weighs 35 g, measures 45.5 × 33.5 × 15 mm and has a fixed metal clip. Its built-in MEMS microphone handles up to 130 dB SPL, and a 32-bit float backup is recorded to 8 GB of memory. The IPX5 rating withstands rain, and an external microphone can be plugged in too.

A receiver with a touchscreen

The 1.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen and a control knob set gain, noise cancellation and output mode. The detachable external antenna extends the range from 250 to 300 m. The receiver offers real-time monitoring, playback without unplugging and output to two devices at once.

A 2,900 mAh charging case

The case holds and charges both transmitters and the receiver. Its 2,900 mAh battery extends the total runtime of the kit to 24 hours. The case measures 117 × 48.5 × 62.4 mm and weighs 210.5 g.

Phone, computer and camera

The USB-C and Lightning adapters slide onto the receiver without a latch and swap in seconds. The receiver connects to a camera with the 3.5 mm TRS to TRS cable, and to Sony cameras with the Multi Interface Shoe through the optional SR-CA adapter. The system also works with the DJI Action 4 and DJI Osmo Pocket 3 action cameras.

Up to 24 hours of runtime

The transmitters and the receiver run 6 hours per charge and can be charged while recording. The 2,900 mAh charging case recharges them more than once, so the whole kit keeps going for up to 24 hours.

32-bit float recording

With onboard recording enabled, the transmitter stores audio at 48 kHz / 32-bit float. Quiet and overloaded passages can be evened out in post without clipping or added noise. Files are split every 30 minutes, and the oldest recording is overwritten when the memory is full.

ClearVoice and auto gain

ClearVoice noise cancellation switches on with a single press and has three levels in the app. Vocal Boost and a 150 Hz Low-Cut shape the voice, and automatic gain control (AGC) keeps levels in check without manual adjustment.

Mono, stereo and safety track

In stereo each transmitter records to its own channel; in mono both are combined into one. The safety track mode records a backup 6 dB lower; to use it, the tracks must be separated in post-production.

Studio-grade sound

Sampling at 48 kHz / 24-bit, a signal-to-noise ratio above 90 dB and a 20 Hz – 20 kHz frequency range capture vocal detail with minimal noise in any environment.

Timecode for multi-camera shoots

Built-in timecode stamps every clip with frame accuracy, so audio and video from several cameras line up in post within seconds. Supported frame rates are 23.98, 24, 25, 29.97 DF, 29.97 and 30 fps; for any other rate choose the closest one, for example 23.98 fps for 47.96 fps.

Clean sound even in noise

Loud singing, motor racing or filming next to aircraft: in low gain mode the transmitter captures sound up to 130 dB SPL without clipping and keeps levels above 125 dB in check. ClearVoice noise cancellation filters out the background noise.

Rain is no problem

The transmitters are IPX5-rated, so rain does not have to stop the shoot. Transmitters and receiver run 6 hours, can be charged while recording, and with the charging case the kit keeps going for up to 24 hours.

Additional information

ClearVoice noise cancellation offers three adjustable levels for intelligible speech in busy surroundings. The receiver lets you choose mono, stereo or safety track, and its HD AMOLED touchscreen gives direct access to gain, noise cancellation and recording settings.

3.5 mm TRS, USB-C and Lightning outputs work with cameras, phones, tablets and computers. The detachable external antenna extends line-of-sight range to up to 300 metres. IPX5-rated transmitters resist water and sweat, so they suit outdoor and active shoots, and the charging case extends the total runtime of the kit to up to 24 hours.
