The Saramonic WiTalk WT5D is a wireless full-duplex intercom from the earlier WiTalk series for 5 people: one master and four remote dual-ear headsets. Everyone talks at once without pressing a button, the 1.9 GHz link reaches up to 400 m and the remote headsets run up to 18 hours. The kit includes five replaceable batteries and a charging dock for 10 batteries.

Five dual-ear headsets

The kit contains a master and four remote dual-ear headsets with protein leather ear cushions that isolate ambient noise well. The master headset pairs with no more than four remote headsets, so the kit is fully occupied; more users need the WiTalk HUB, which takes the system up to 25 people.

Replaceable batteries and a charging dock for 10

Each headset runs on a replaceable 3.7 V / 1200 mAh battery that charges in the included charging dock for 10 batteries. The master headset lasts about 10 hours with two remote headsets and 5 hours with four, the remote headsets about 18 hours; they can also charge over USB-C while in use.

The earlier WiTalk series

The WiTalk WT5D is not a WiTalk9: it is not compatible with the WiTalk BASE and has no noise cancellation, app or water resistance. The newer WiTalk9 series offers 500 m of range, the three-microphone ClearTalk array, the Saramonic app and IPX5 protection.

Mute with the boom or button

The microphone mutes when you lift the boom or press MIC/MUTE; volume is set with the + and − buttons.

Wear on either side

The microphone boom pivots through 270°, so the headset can be worn with the microphone on the left or right. A headset weighs about 360 g.

The WiTalk WT5D is a wireless intercom for five people with dual-ear headsets. It works in full duplex and keeps hands free, so it suits film, TV, theatre, photo shoots and sports broadcasts. The headsets are stored in a rugged lockable case.
