The EW-DX SKM is a handheld transmitter without a capsule — you pick that yourself from fourteen Sennheiser and Neumann heads, according to what the microphone has to do. The body is metal and the e-ink display keeps showing the settings when the unit is off.

What the EW-DX range shares

Digital transmission at 24 bits, 1.9 ms latency and 134 dB of input dynamic range — which is why there is no sensitivity to set on the transmitter. The band is up to 88 MHz wide, the link is encrypted with AES-256, and a BA 70 battery lasts twelve hours, AA cells eight.
