Professional on-camera and boom shotgun microphone with high directivity, a switchable low-cut filter, and P48 phantom or single-AA battery powering. The Sennheiser MKE 600 is designed for filmmaking, reporting, interviews, and location production.

Focused sound on camera or boom

The Sennheiser MKE 600 concentrates the recording on action in front of the microphone and strongly attenuates sound arriving from the sides and rear. Its metal body, low self-noise, and flexible powering make it suitable for solo camera operators and professional film crews alike.

Interference tube with pronounced directivity

The super-cardioid/lobar pattern emphasizes dialogue and individual sources on axis. A 40 Hz to 20 kHz response preserves full voices and natural ambience, while 15 dB(A) self-noise with P48 helps capture clean quiet passages.

P48 or an AA battery inside the microphone

The MKE 600 can run from 48 V phantom power supplied by a camera or recorder, or from one AA battery for approximately 150 hours. A Low Batt indicator warns of falling voltage, and the switchable low-cut filter reduces rumble, vibration, and some wind noise.

Ready for cameras and location recording

The supplied MZS 600 shock mount reduces handling noise and the MZW 600 foam windscreen helps in light wind. The KA 600 cable adapts the three-pin XLR output to a camera's 3.5 mm TRS input; the optional MZH 600 furry windshield is available for stronger wind.
