The SmallRig 6657 is a power cable with a DMW-BLK22 dummy battery for Panasonic cameras. It goes in where the battery would sit and connects over USB-C to a PD charger, a power bank or the USB-C output of a V-mount battery. The camera then runs without a break, so there are no battery swaps during long recordings, livestreams, time-lapses or other extended shoots.
The cable takes PD 9.0 V and PD 12.0 V input and works with the common PD fast-charging protocols, so power can come from a PD charger, a car charger or a power bank, indoors or on location. Installation needs no tools and no complicated setup.
An upgraded chip keeps the camera from showing unknown-battery warnings and leaves the original functions and menu operation intact. The dummy battery is moulded to the dimensions of the original, so it slides in and out easily and does not stop the battery compartment door from closing normally.
Protection covers overvoltage, overheating, overcharge and short circuit, and the housing is flame-retardant ABS. Certifications: FCC, CE, RoHS, ISED, RCM.
