A handheld damping arm for action cameras and light rigs. Its spring-loaded hydraulic Z-axis damper soaks up vertical shake while you walk or run, and the resistance is adjustable. It carries 600 g and comes with a counterweight and an extension arm.

The SmallRig Handheld Shock Absorber Arm is engineered to enhance handheld footage stability by introducing a dedicated Z-axis damping system. Designed for action cameras and compact gimbals, it significantly reduces shake caused by walking, running, or dynamic movement.

At the core of the system is a spring-loaded hydraulic damping mechanism, which absorbs vertical motion and smooths out footage in real time. This allows creators to achieve cinematic-style stabilization even without a full gimbal setup. The damping force is adjustable, enabling users to fine-tune resistance depending on activity intensity—from casual vlogging to fast-paced sports recording.

The arm includes an ergonomic adjustable handle for comfortable grip and control, along with a modular structure that supports different mounting configurations. A counterweight system and extension arm are included to maintain balance when using slightly heavier camera setups or when adjusting shooting angles.
