The SmallRig RA-L90 lantern softbox is 90 cm across and spreads light over a 270° beam angle for an even, genuinely soft result. Its universal Bowens mount fits the RC 120D/B and RC 220D/B lights, and diffuser and frame open up in seconds.

Key features

1. High-performance soft-light fabric and a highly reflective coating create a 360° spherical, large-area even soft-light effect.
2. Ribs, soft-light fabric and bottom chuck are joined into one piece by multiple hook-and-loop fasteners – one-step installation with no skeleton shift. The lengthened, widened bottom hook helps with positioning and precise fitting.
3. The twelve supporting ribs are made of the stainless steel used for military umbrellas: lighter and tougher than ordinary ribs, highly elastic and heat resistant. Assembly takes three times less effort and the ribs withstand tens of thousands of uses without deformation.
4. Standard black skirt with four freely selectable shading panels for a variety of scenes.
5. The 90 cm diameter creates a larger area and a wider range of soft light.
6. Universal Bowens mount – compatible with SmallRig RC 120D/RC 120B/RC 220D/RC 220B and other Bowens mount lights.

The 270° beam angle and industrial-grade fabric give an even, soft light. Paired with a COB light it suits live streaming, V-log, weddings, documentaries, TV commercials, interviews, speech hosting and course recording.
