The Thypoch Simera-C 21 mm T1.5 for Leica M is a full-frame manual cine lens for natural perspective, dialogue and detail work. It has a 16-blade T1.5–T16 iris, 210° focus throw, 0.8 MOD gears and metric/imperial scales. Its compact M-mount body weighs approximately 472 g; an adapter enables use on other systems.

A wide angle for environments, architecture and work in confined spaces. The M-mount version is only 59.8 mm long, weighs approximately 472 g and covers a 43.2 mm full-frame image circle.

Aperture and image character

Thirteen elements in eleven groups, a 16-blade iris and T1.5 support smooth defocus transitions. Simera-C uses aspherical, low-dispersion and high-refractive-index elements for high resolution and chromatic-aberration control.

Manual control for cine rigs

Focus has a 210° throw and a 0.23 m minimum distance from the sensor plane. 0.8 MOD gears on both focus and iris rings work with standard follow-focus systems; dual scales speed up work for mixed crews.
