The Thypoch Simera-C 50 mm T1.5 for Sony E is a full-frame manual cine lens for natural perspective, dialogue and detail work. It has a 16-blade T1.5–T16 iris, 210° focus throw, 0.8 MOD gears and metric/imperial scales. Its native E-mount body weighs approximately 369 g and is designed for Sony E cameras and cinema rigs.

Aperture and image character

Eight elements in six groups, a 16-blade iris and T1.5 support smooth defocus transitions. Simera-C uses aspherical, low-dispersion and high-refractive-index elements for high resolution and chromatic-aberration control.

Manual control for cine rigs

Focus has a 210° throw and a 0.45 m minimum distance from the sensor plane. 0.8 MOD gears on both focus and iris rings work with standard follow-focus systems; dual scales speed up work for mixed crews.
