The Tilta HDA-T15-1420-TG mounting bracket gives the Hydra Alien Mini shock absorbing arm the most common mount in photo and video: the arm's rosette on one side, a 1/4″-20 thread on the other. That puts the arm on a clamp, a regular suction cup, a tripod head or any accessory with a tripod screw. The bracket is aluminium alloy in titanium grey.

The 1/4″-20 mounting bracket for Hydra Alien Mini is the adapter between the shock absorbing arm's rosette and the world of the tripod thread. It needs neither Tilta's electronic suction cup nor the handlebar mount — the arm goes onto whatever is already in your bag.

The arm's rosette on one side

The bracket bolts to the rosette of the Hydra Alien Mini shock absorbing arm, just like the mounting bracket supplied in the kits. The toothed rosette holds the set angle even over bumps, and because the joint is the same as on the other Alien Mini parts, the arm moves between brackets in moments with no extra tools.

A 1/4″-20 thread on the other

Underneath is a standard 1/4″-20 tripod thread. That clamps the rig to a super clamp on a handlebar or tube, to a plain suction cup with a 1/4″ screw on the bonnet, to a tripod ball head or a magic arm — wherever the electronic suction cup makes no sense or is not with you. The bracket is aluminium alloy.

The Hydra Alien Mini system

Hydra Alien Mini is Tilta's damped mount for action cameras, pocket gimbals and phones up to 600 g: a hydraulically damped arm that sticks to a car with the electronic suction cup, bolts to the handlebar of a bicycle or motorcycle, or goes handheld. The parts connect through a rosette and a 1/4″-20 thread, so one rig is reconfigured to suit the vehicle — this part is one of them.
