The Tilta TT-LS1/4 is a slotted 1/4"-20 screw of the kind Tilta uses in the construction of its cages and in baseplate connections. It has a low flat head with a slot for a flat screwdriver or a coin, and serves to replace a lost screw or to attach another part to a 1/4"-20 thread.

The Tilta TT-LS1/4 is one of eight screws in the TT-LS range: two threads (1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16), several head shapes and lengths. You pick it by the thread in the cage or plate, by how much room there is above the head and by how thick the part is that the screw has to pass through.

Slotted head and 1/4"-20 thread

The head is low and flat, with a slot across it for a flat screwdriver or a coin. Below the head there is a smooth neck and a short thread. Its sibling TT-LS1/4-A has the same head shape and a slightly longer thread, while the TT-LS1/4-B has a tall cylindrical head and the longest shank of the 1/4"-20 trio. The surface is silver, unpainted metal.

Tilta screws

Tilta cages and baseplates are held together by 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screws — the same standards as the tripod threads on cameras and accessories. The TT-LS range is spare and supplementary hardware: two threads in several head and length versions, to replace a lost screw or bolt on another part right where the cage has a thread.
