The Tilta TT-C16-BLK is a lightweight 10" dovetail plate that stays screwed to the tripod head or crane with 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads. The camera with a Tilta baseplate slides into its track, moves to the balanced position and locks; a safety pin holds it even when shooting overhead. With the Tilta dovetail shoulder rig the camera goes from tripod to shoulder and back in a moment. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta TT-C16-BLK is the interface between tripod and camera that does not have to be screwed on every time: the dovetail stays on the head, the camera on its baseplate slides on, balances and locks — and comes off just as quickly.

A track for Tilta baseplates, balance by sliding

A dovetail track runs the full length of the plate, and any standard Tilta baseplate slides into it — from the Tiltaing range as well as Tilta Standard. The camera slides back and forth in the track until it sits balanced on the tripod head, and locks in that position; once balanced, the build returns to the same spot every time. The stopper with the included screw at the end of the track keeps the baseplate from running off the dovetail.

On a head or a crane, with a safety catch for overhead work

The underside of the plate has 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, so it screws onto most tripod heads, cranes and other support systems. The safety pin is a second safeguard beside the baseplate lock — when shooting overhead or on a crane the camera will not slide off the dovetail even if the lock came loose. The plate is light and low-profile, so it neither raises nor burdens the build, and combined with the Tilta dovetail shoulder rig the camera moves from tripod to shoulder without re-screwing.

Tilta makes 15 mm LWS baseplates (Type IV, V, VI, universal and height-adjustable), a 19 mm studio baseplate and dovetail plates in several lengths — any standard Tilta baseplate fits the dovetail, so they combine across series.
