The Tilta TA-BSRA-15-B is a single 15 mm rod holder for the bottom of a camera cage: it screws to the underside of Tilta full and half cages and carries the rod for a wireless follow focus motor or other rod-mounted accessory. It is the lightest way to get a 15 mm rod onto a build — which is why it suits gimbals and compact rigs where every gram counts. A locating pin stops it rotating, and the Tilta tightening screw clamps the rod. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta TA-BSRA-15-B is the answer to a follow focus motor on a gimbal: instead of a baseplate with a pair of rods, one small holder under the cage and one 15 mm rod under the lens, exactly where the motor meets the focus gear.

One rod under the cage, a locating pin against rotation

The holder screws to the underside of the cage with the included hex screw — most Tilta full and half cages. The locating pin drops into the hole next to the thread, and the holder will not rotate even with a follow focus motor pushing against the focus gear. The clamp takes one 15 mm rod of any length; the hex-head Tilta tightening screw clamps it, and once loosened the rod slides or swaps in a moment. Of all Tilta rod holders this is one of the lightest — on a gimbal it barely changes the balance.

The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and cold shoes, so they combine across series. This part is one of them.
