The Tilta 15mm Rod Holder is a 15 mm rod holder for the Tilta cage for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and 6K G2. It is used in the half cage setup with the original Blackmagic battery grip: a 1/4"-20 screw fastens it to the extended bottom plate and locating pins keep it from rotating. In front of the camera you thus get two 15 mm rods for a matte box, follow focus or lens support. Version TA-T11-RH-B, colour black.

The Tilta 15mm Rod Holder for BMPCC 6K Pro (TA-T11-RH-B) is a part of the TA-T11 series for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and 6K G2: a 15 mm rod holder that joins the setup once the battery grip is on the camera and the cage is assembled as a half cage.

15 mm rod holder next to the battery grip

When the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro or 6K G2 wears the original battery grip, the Tilta cage is used as a half cage and its bottom plate moves under the grip as an extended bottom plate. That is where this 15 mm rod holder mounts: it holds with a 1/4"-20 screw and locating pins that prevent unwanted rotation, so the rods stay parallel to the lens axis. The included slotted screwdriver does the tightening.

Rod-based accessories in front of the camera

The holder carries two 15 mm rods that run forward in front of the camera body. They take what will not fit a compact camera without rods: a matte box, a follow focus or a lens support under heavier glass. The setup with the battery grip thus loses none of the options of the full cage — the holder is made of aluminium alloy and stainless steel and adds no more to the camera body than necessary.

The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces.
