The Tilta TA-15RH-1420F-B is a single 15 mm rod holder that screws into the 1/4"-20 thread on the front of a camera cage. The rod then sits closer to the lens than a classic baseplate would put it — exactly where a wireless follow focus motor needs it on a compact lens. Two locating pins stop it rotating, and the toggle screw clamps the rod without tools. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, 16.9 g, black.

The Tilta TA-15RH-1420F-B solves a simple problem: a follow focus motor needs a 15 mm rod at the lens, but on a gimbal or a light build there is neither room nor weight budget for a baseplate with rods. The holder screws the rod straight onto the face of the cage.

Rod from the front, closer to the lens

The holder mounts with a single 1/4"-20 screw on the front of the camera cage — most Tilta full and half cages. The rod then runs parallel to the lens and sits closer to it than a traditional baseplate would allow, so even a short compact lens leaves enough room for the focus gear and the motor.

Locating pins and a toggle screw

Next to the thread are two locating pins: they drop into the holes in the cage, and the holder will not rotate even with a motor pushing against the gear. A toggle screw clamps the rod, so you slide or swap it without tools; the included Allen key is only for tightening the screw into the cage.

A light part for a gimbal

It weighs 16.9 g and measures 42.7 × 29 × 25.5 mm, so it barely changes the balance on a gimbal and adds no bulk to a light handheld build. It takes one 15 mm rod of any length — 100 or 150 mm is usually enough for a follow focus motor.
