The Tilta TA-SRA2-15-B is a side holder for a single 15 mm rod: it screws to the side of Tilta Tiltaing-series full and half cages and puts a 15 mm rod out beside the camera body, where an accessory goes on it — a follow focus motor, a compact matte box or a monitor mount. The same holder comes in the box with the Tiltaing Mini Matte Box and Mini Follow Focus; on its own it serves as a second unit for the opposite side or as a spare. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta TA-SRA2-15-B is the simplest way to get a 15 mm rod to the side of a cage without a baseplate: one holder, one rod and an accessory that sits on the rod beside the lens.

A rod beside the camera

The holder screws to the side of the cage and its clamp grips one 15 mm rod of any length. The rod then runs parallel to the camera body along its side — exactly where a follow focus motor reaches the focus gear of the lens or where a light matte box can hang. A hex screw closes the clamp: loosen, slide the rod, tighten, and it is done in a moment.

The part from the Mini Matte Box and Mini Follow Focus boxes

Tilta ships this holder with the Tiltaing Mini Matte Box and the Mini Follow Focus, which mount on the cage on precisely one side rod. A unit bought separately therefore serves as a second holder for the opposite side of the cage — follow focus on one side, matte box on the other — or as a replacement for a lost or damaged one. The Type II version is all metal, aluminium alloy with stainless steel screws, in the black of Tilta cages.

The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and cold shoes, so they combine across series. This part is one of them.
