The Tilta 18mm NATO Rail Attachment is a short, 18 mm long NATO rail that screws onto a Tiltaing cage with two 1/4"-20 screws. Any handle or mount with a NATO clamp then fits the rail — a side handle, a compact top handle or a monitor mount. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta 18mm NATO Rail Attachment adds a NATO interface to a cage where it has none: two screws, and the handle goes on and comes off in a second.

NATO rail on two screws

The rail is 18 mm long and screws onto the cage with two 1/4"-20 screws into a pair of threads spaced as on Tiltaing cages. It keeps its shape even under a side handle that carries the weight of the whole build, and in black matches Tilta cages of the same colour. The body is aluminium alloy, the screws stainless steel.

Handles and mounts with a NATO clamp

Any handle or mount with a NATO clamp fits the rail: Tilta side handles, the compact top handle, the NATO to rosette adapter or the multi-functional NATO mount. The clamp slides onto the rail and locks with its lever, so the handle comes off before the rig goes into the bag and goes back on without tools — and its position on the cage changes according to where the handle needs to be.

The Tilta cage system

A Tilta cage is only the start: every series has parts designed for the camera body — top handles, side handles with a REC button, HDMI and USB-C cable clamps, battery plates, 15 mm rod holders, lens adapters and ARCA or NATO interfaces. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, NATO rails and cold shoes, so they combine across series. This part is one of them.
