The Tilta R19-250-B is a black anodised aluminium 19 mm rod, 250 mm long. It fits 19 mm studio baseplates (104 mm spacing) and carries a matte box, lens support or follow focus motor while weighing less than a stainless steel rod of the same length. The ends are internally threaded, so the connection screw for 19 mm rods extends it with another rod. The price is for one rod.

The Tilta R19-250-B is a studio-standard rod in a lighter form: aluminium instead of stainless steel where the build does not need maximum stiffness but every gram on the shoulder or on a gimbal counts. Choose the length by the overhang the build needs.

250 mm of aluminium for the studio rig

The rod is 19 mm in diameter, 250 mm long and made of black anodised aluminium alloy — lighter than a stainless steel rod of the same size and matching the black Tilta parts. The 104 mm spacing is the studio standard: it fits 19 mm baseplates, motor mounts and lens supports that carry lenses with a long front section on large cameras. The ends carry an internal thread for the Tilta R19-C connection screw: two rods screw together into one longer rod.

Tilta 15 and 19 mm rods

Rods are the backbone of a rig: 15 mm rods (LWS standard, 60 mm spacing) carry baseplates, follow focus, matte box, lens supports and motor mounts; 19 mm rods (studio standard, 104 mm spacing) take heavy builds with large lenses. Tilta makes 15 mm rods in aluminium, black or silver, 100–300 mm long, and 19 mm rods in stainless steel or black anodised aluminium; rods with threaded ends join end to end with a connection screw.
