The Tilta RS19-450 is a 450 mm long stainless steel 19 mm rod. It fits 19 mm studio baseplates (104 mm spacing) and carries heavy accessories — a matte box, a support for a large lens, follow focus motors — where 15 mm aluminium would flex. This length has no internal thread and is not extended with a connection screw. The price is for one rod.

The Tilta RS19-450 is a rod for the studio standard: stainless steel carries a large lens and a full matte box, and the rig on a tripod stays rigid with it. You choose the length by the reach the build needs.

450 mm of stainless steel for the studio rig

The rod is 19 mm in diameter, 450 mm long and made of stainless steel, which unlike aluminium does not flex under heavy accessories and whose surface does not wear quickly even with frequent sliding of holders. The 104 mm spacing is the studio standard: it fits 19 mm baseplates, motor mounts and lens supports that carry long-fronted lenses on large cameras. This length has no internal thread.

Tilta 15 and 19 mm rods

Rods are the backbone of a rig: 15 mm rods (LWS standard, 60 mm spacing) carry baseplates, follow focus, matte box, lens supports and motor mounts; 19 mm stainless rods (studio standard, 104 mm spacing) take heavy builds with large lenses. Tilta makes 15 mm rods in aluminium, black or silver, 100–300 mm long, and 19 mm rods in stainless steel, 200–450 mm; the 15 mm rods and the 19 mm lengths of 200 and 250 mm have internally threaded ends for a connection screw.
