The Advanced Kit is the best equipped Tilta set for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and 6K G2. To the cage and the quick release top handle it adds the left powered side handle, which runs the camera off an NP-F570 battery and starts and stops recording with Run/Stop. The 15 mm LWS baseplate with four rods opens the build to a matte box and follow focus; the SSD holder and angled connectors handle recording to an external drive.

The Tilta Advanced Kit TA-T11-A-B is the best equipped set for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and 6K G2: cage, quick release top handle, left side powered handle with Run/Stop for an NP-F570 battery, 15 mm LWS Type VI baseplate with four rods, SSD holder and angled HDMI and USB-C connectors. Straight out of the box it is a finished rig for handheld work and for building with a matte box.

Powered side handle with Run/Stop

The Advanced Kit adds the left side powered handle with a Run/Stop button. It powers the camera over 12 V micro DC (3.5/1.35 mm) or 8 V USB-C from an NP-F570 battery and starts and stops recording through the supplied RS-TA3-USBC cable. It rotates and has a hand strap, so handheld work stays comfortable.

Aluminium armour around the whole camera body

The cage wraps around the body of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and 6K G2 and protects it from wear and knocks. 1/4″-20 threads with locating pins run all around it so accessories cannot twist, plus cold shoe receivers and a NATO rail for Type IV and VI side handles. The body is aluminium alloy and stainless steel.

The right side arm comes off

The right side module unscrews and the full cage becomes a half cage — a lighter build for a gimbal or aerial work. The arm carries an ARRI compatible rosette for the Adjustable Top Handle Plus, 1/4″-20 threads with locating pins and a NATO rail.

Baseplate for 15 mm rods

The Advanced Kit includes the 15 mm LWS Type VI baseplate together with two 15 × 200 mm and two 15 × 100 mm rods. That gives you a full rod system in front of the camera for a matte box and follow focus. The bottom of the plate mates with the Tilta Standard dovetail and carries 1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads for third-party quick release plates.

The SSD rides on the cage, not on the cable

The SSD holder bolts straight onto the cage with a 1/4″ screw and a locating pin, clamps a Samsung T5 drive and connects to the camera with the supplied angled USB-C cable. The cable also screws into the side panel of the cage, so it cannot fall out mid-take and the connector cannot bend.

Angled HDMI adapter and USB-C cable

The angled HDMI adapter sits at the camera HDMI port and saves the socket that a straight cable would lever against. The 30 cm angled USB-C cable carries the signal from the camera to the SSD holder. Both parts screw to the cage, so the connectors hold even handheld.

Move the viewfinder off the camera

The electronic viewfinder that Blackmagic sells separately for the BMPCC 6K Pro does not have to sit on the camera body. The Tilta extension cable (TA-T11-EEC-30 or -60) carries the signal to it and the Tiltaing EVF Extension Bracket holds it where you need it — above the camera, to the side, upright. That helps handheld and on a gimbal alike. The viewfinder, the cable and the bracket are not part of the kit.

The base of a full cinema rig

The cage is the base for a full cinema rig: matte box, follow focus and accessories on articulating arms. Everything holds on 1/4″-20 threads with locating pins, on the NATO rail and on the ARRI rosettes, so nothing twists and it all comes apart again.

Cage dimensions and weight

The cage alone measures 195.7 × 145 × 110 mm and weighs 187.3 g. The bottom plate offers several 1/4″-20 points for third-party quick release plates and is compatible with the ARCA receiver of the DJI RS 2 mounting plate, so the camera moves onto the gimbal without further adapters.

What to watch out for

Camera, lens and SSD are not included. The NP-F570 battery for the powered handle is bought separately.

The SSD holder is made for the Samsung T5 drive. If you receive a kit with a T7 holder, contact the manufacturer at sales@tilta.com.

The 15 mm LWS baseplate and the Blackmagic battery grip do not go on the camera at the same time — either rods under the camera, or the grip with the rod holder in front of it.
