The Tilta ARCA Bottom Plate with Cable Passthrough is an ARCA quick release plate for the Tilta cage for the Sony a1 II and a9 III. It screws directly to the bottom of the cage and the camera then drops into any ARCA clamp — on a DJI Ronin S series gimbal or a lightweight tripod such as the Tilta VT-05. A slot lets a cable pass between the cage and the plate, so it stays tucked away. It holds to the cage at two points. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta ARCA Bottom Plate with Cable Passthrough for a1 II/a9 III (TA-T66-ABP-B) is a part of the TA-T66 series for the Sony a1 II and a9 III: a bottom plate with an ARCA profile that joins the cage to a gimbal or tripod without getting in the way of the cables.

ARCA quick release plate under the cage

The plate mounts directly to the bottom of the Tilta Full Camera Cage for the Sony a1 II and a9 III and holds at two points, so it does not shift under load. Its ARCA profile fits any clamp of that standard: the receiver on DJI Ronin S series gimbals as well as the quick release of lightweight tripods such as the Tilta VT-05 travel tripod with fluid head. The camera in its cage thus clicks into the clamp and comes out just as quickly.

Cable passthrough

The plate has a dedicated slot through which a cable passes between the cage and the bottom plate. A power or data cable thus does not hang loose around the camera, the build stays tidy and the connector is harder to pull out with an accidental tug. Anyone shooting with external power or a monitor on a gimbal will appreciate that the cable runs along the cage and does not get in the way when clamping.

The Tilta cage system
