The Tilta Arca Height Adjustable 15mm LWS Baseplate is a height adjustable baseplate: the distance from the 15mm rod centre to the Arca receiver moves between 18 and 38 mm, so even a low mirrorless body or a half cage can hold the LWS 85 mm standard. An Arca quick release sits on top, a Tilta dovetail with a safety pin underneath, and 15mm rod holders on the sides. Titanium grey version, 300 g.

Matte boxes and follow focus units assume the 15mm rods sit 85 mm below the optical axis — the LWS standard. With mirrorless bodies that almost never works out, which is exactly why this baseplate is height adjustable.

Key features

Height from 18 to 38 mm

The distance between the centre of the 15mm rods and the Arca receiver adjusts from 18 to 38 mm. A lever does the locking, so the height changes without tools and stays where you left it.

Arca on top, dovetail below

The top plate is an Arca standard quick release — it takes DJI standard Arca plates and Tilta cages. The underside slides onto a Tilta dovetail and is secured by a safety pin.

Locked by hand

Height, dovetail and the 15mm rod holders all lock with a lever or a screw you tighten by hand. You can rebuild the rig even with the camera already on the tripod and the hex key in the bag.

Good to know

The holders take two 15mm rods to the LWS standard; rods are not included. Matte boxes, follow focus units and other rod-mounted accessories then go on those.

The top plate carries non-slip silicone and a 1/4"-20 screw that keep the camera or cage from twisting.
