The Tilta ESR-T18-BTP-V battery plate slots onto the Sony BURANO's built-in V-Mount and adds what the body lacks: P-Tap 14.8 V, USB-C PD 3.1 65 W, two three-pin Fischer (24 V and 14.8 V) and a two-pin LEMO 14.8 V output, plus a six-pin LEMO DC input 12–28 V for a mains supply and hot-swapping. It sets the battery further from the body, so even large batteries fit behind the camera. Aluminium alloy, black.

The Tilta Battery Plate for Sony BURANO — V-Mount is a battery plate for a camera that already has a V-Mount — but not a single output for accessories. The Tilta plate slots onto the built-in mount as an intermediate piece, moves the battery back and distributes its power to the monitor, video transmitter and focus system. The same plate is also available in a Gold Mount version.

Intermediate piece on the built-in V-Mount

The Sony BURANO has its V-Mount fixed in the body, but no output to power accessories from. The Tilta plate slides into that mount like a battery and offers a new V-Mount on its back for the actual battery. At the same time it sets the battery away from the body, so bulky high-capacity batteries fit behind the camera and the rig's centre of gravity moves closer to the shoulder.

Five outputs, one input

The side of the plate carries P-Tap 14.8 V / 3.8 A, USB-C with PD 3.1 up to 65 W, three-pin Fischer 24 V / 3 A, three-pin Fischer 14.8 V / 3.8 A and two-pin LEMO 14.8 V / 3 A — so a monitor, video transmitter, focus motors and a wireless microphone all run from one battery. The six-pin LEMO is a DC input 12–28 V: it feeds the plate from a mains supply or a second battery, and the V-Mount battery is then swapped without the camera switching off.

V-Mount or Gold Mount

The plate comes in two versions to match the crew's batteries: this V-Mount one and its Gold Mount sibling (ESR-T18-BTP-AB) for Anton Bauer batteries. Both are aluminium alloy with stainless steel parts and match the Tilta cage for the BURANO as well as the bare camera body in black.

Tilta power: V-Mount and Gold Mount

Tilta battery plates have one job: to bring power from a large V-Mount or Gold Mount battery to the camera and its accessories so that battery swaps are kept to a minimum. Every plate comes in both versions — V-Mount and Gold Mount (Anton Bauer) — and distributes power through P-Tap, USB-C and two-pin LEMO outputs, for which Tilta offers power cables for specific cameras, monitors and video transmitters. Plates for a specific body mount in the battery chamber or on the cage, universal plates on 15 mm rods. This part is one of them.
