The Tilta Camera Cage for Canon R6 Mark II Basic Kit is a finished foundation for shooting video on the Canon R6 Mark II. The aluminium alloy full cage protects the body from knocks and scratches and adds an ARRI rosette, NATO rails, cold shoes and 1/4″-20 threads with locating points. The kit also brings a compact NATO top handle and a Universal 15mm LWS baseplate, so the rig moves between tripod and a Ronin gimbal without being rebuilt.

The Tilta basic kit for the Canon R6 Mark II builds a complete workstation around the camera. The cage is machined to the R6 Mark II body, holds it with a single 1/4″-20 screw and a locating pin, and leaves every port, the battery and the tilting screen free. To that it adds a handle for shooting handheld and a baseplate for 15mm rods — the two things that turn a stills camera into a cine camera.

Secure, repeatable fit

A 1/4″-20 screw holds the body and a locating pin keeps it from twisting. A silicone cushion between cage and camera absorbs shock and protects the finish.

Somewhere for everything

The cage carries an ARRI rosette, a NATO rail on top and on the side, two cold shoes and 1/4″-20 threads with locating points. M3 threads on the bottom edge take a lens adapter.

Modular baseplate

The Universal 15mm LWS baseplate in the kit holds two 15mm rods and carries an Arca-Swiss receiver with a safety release, a Manfrotto mount and a Tilta 10″ dovetail. The Arca-Swiss adapter unscrews, and the plate then mounts directly with two 1/4″-20 screws.

Cable clamp for USB-C and HDMI

The cable clamp screws onto the side of the cage and holds a USB-C and a micro HDMI cable at once. The strain goes into the cage instead of the connectors, so a tugged cable will not end the take.

The screwdriver lives on the cage

A magnet in the bottom of the cage holds the flat-head screwdriver, so it is always there instead of at the bottom of a bag. It also tightens the 1/4″-20 screw that holds the body.

The compact NATO top handle fits onto the top NATO rail and slides to wherever the balance point is. It carries its own cold shoe and 1/4″-20 threads for a monitor, a microphone or a light. The side NATO rail does the same on the flank — and moving the handle from the top rail to the side one lets you shoot vertically with the R6 Mark II.

The Universal 15mm LWS baseplate is the key to working fast: its Arca-Swiss adapter unscrews, so the plate either drops straight onto a Ronin series gimbal or holds two 15mm rods for a follow focus, a matte box and the rest. A Manfrotto mount and a Tilta 10″ dovetail then cover most tripod heads.
