The Tilta TA-T89-A-B kit pairs the quick-release full cage for the DJI Osmo 360 in magnesium and aluminum alloy with a horizontal mounting plate, so the camera lies flat with a low center of gravity on handlebars, a hood or a tripod plate. The cage leaves the controls, ports and DJI magnetic connector uncovered, adds a cold shoe, 1/4"-20 threads and a strap slot; a hand strap and a silicone lens protector are included.

The Tilta Camera Cage for DJI Osmo 360 Horizontal Mounting Kit is the Osmo 360 cage completed with a horizontal mounting plate and a hand strap. The base is the same quick-release cage as the standalone TA-T89-FCC-B — the kit adds a way to mount the camera lying down where the upright position is in the way or vibrates.

Horizontal mounting plate

The plate mounts on the side of the cage and moves the mounting point to the side of the camera. The Osmo 360 then lies flat — the center of gravity is lower, on handlebars and a hood the camera vibrates less and hides more easily below the edge of the frame. The plate has its own 1/4"-20 thread for a ball joint, mini tripod, suction cup or handlebar mount.

What is in the kit

The kit contains the quick-release cage for the DJI Osmo 360, the horizontal mounting plate, a hand strap that threads through the slot in the cage and secures the camera when shooting handheld, and the silicone lens protector for both lenses in transport. The cage is held by the PRESS button and comes off without tools; the battery door is removable separately and the DJI magnetic connector stays free.

What sits where: cold shoe, button, connector, door

On top is a cold shoe for a microphone or light, on the side the PRESS quick-release button that takes the cage off the camera without tools. The lower section leaves the DJI magnetic connector free, so the camera with the cage clicks onto the original mounts, selfie stick or battery extension rod. The battery door is removable — you swap the battery without taking the cage off.

1/4"-20 threads, strap slot and silicone protector

Front and top each carry a 1/4"-20 thread with locating points for a ball joint, mini tripod or handlebar mount. The strap slot secures the camera with a lanyard when shooting handheld. The silicone lens protector is included: it fits over the cage and protects both lenses in transport and off set.

On a motorcycle, a bike and handheld

The cage with the plate covers the perspectives a 360° camera can deliver: first-person shots from the handlebars, a third-person view from a bike extension, 360° shots from the car body on a suction cup or handheld on a pole. Flat mounting via the plate lowers the center of gravity, upright mounting via the cold shoe and top threads keeps the camera height — you switch between the two without screwing thanks to the quick release.

The cage on its own

Tilta also offers the same cage alone as the Full Camera Cage for DJI Osmo 360 (TA-T89-FCC-B) — without the horizontal plate and strap, with the silicone lens protector only. Both versions are in the selector below the price; they share the 1/4"-20 threads, the cold shoe, the strap slot and the free DJI magnetic connector.
