Tilta aluminium cage for the DJI Osmo Action 3 action camera in titanium gray, supplied with a magnetic 1/4″-20 mounting baseplate. The cage wraps the camera body all the way round, is silicone-lined inside, and its cutouts leave the lens, both screens, the record button and access to the battery clear. The front frame is designed for Tilta’s Action 3 filters. The baseplate adds a photo thread for a tripod, a handlebar or a suction cup. The cage measures 82 × 54.5 × 32 mm and weighs 70 g.

The Tilta Camera Cage Basic Kit is an aluminium cage for the DJI Osmo Action 3 with a magnetic 1/4″-20 mounting baseplate. The cage protects the camera body all the way round, leaves the lens, both screens and access to the battery clear and is designed for Tilta’s filters. The baseplate gives the camera a photo thread, so it fixes to a tripod, a handlebar or a suction cup. The cage measures 82 × 54.5 × 32 mm and weighs 70 g.

An aluminium cage around the whole body

The cage wraps the Action 3 all the way round and protects it from scuffs and knocks. Inside it is lined with silicone, so the camera does not rub against metal and does not rattle in the cage.

The controls stay within reach

Cutouts leave the lens, both screens, the record button and access to the battery free. The camera does not have to come out to offload footage or change a battery.

Ready for filters

The front frame is designed for Tilta’s Action 3 filters — polarizer, ND and MCUV protector. The filter goes on from outside and the cage holds it on the lens axis.

Magnetic baseplate included

The kit includes a magnetic mounting baseplate with a 1/4″-20 thread and locating points. With it the camera fixes to a tripod, a selfie stick or a suction cup and turns portrait or landscape.

On a bike, on a car and in the hand

The build is light enough for a handlebar mount or a suction cup on bodywork. With the 1/4″-20 thread the camera joins the same kit as an SLR.

Worth knowing

The cage is built for the DJI Osmo Action 3. It does not fit the newer Action 6 — for that Tilta makes the separate TA-T95 cage.

The 82 × 54.5 × 32 mm and 70 g figures are given by the manufacturer for the cage alone; the magnetic baseplate in the box comes on top of that.
