The Tilta Camera Cage Base Kit is an all-aluminium cage for the DJI Osmo Action 6 together with a quick-release mounting baseplate. The cage wraps the camera without play and adds a 1/4″-20 thread with locating points, a cold shoe and a DJI Quick Release receiver; the baseplate moves the build from a tripod to a suction cup or a damping arm without screws. The complete kit weighs 98 g.

A precise fit on the Action 6

The cage is machined to the body shape of the DJI Osmo Action 6 — it sits without play, covers neither the lens nor the screens and protects the camera from scuffs when you set it down on a bonnet, a rock or a handlebar.

Buttons and card slot stay clear

Cutouts leave the power button and the memory card slot free, so you can keep shooting while charging. The bottom cutout keeps the camera’s magnetic quick-release mount unobstructed.

Swap the battery without removing the cage

The side cover next to the battery is removable. You change the battery with the rig assembled — the cage does not have to come apart and the build stays exactly as you set it up.

Where the cage can be mounted

1/4″-20 thread with locating points, a cold shoe and a DJI Quick Release receiver. Plus the detachable record button on top and the latch that opens the battery door.

Cold shoe for a light or a microphone

The cold shoe on top takes an LED panel, a microphone or a wireless receiver. Sound and light run off one build and no extra bracket is needed.

Ready for filters

Tilta’s polarizer or the ND8/ND16/ND32 filters mount on the Action 6 lens — the cage lets them turn freely and stays out of the way when you fit them. Filters are sold separately.

Magnetic baseplate included

The quick-release mounting baseplate clips onto the camera’s magnetic mount and carries a 1/4″-20 thread. It fits from below and from above, so the camera can stand portrait or landscape.

From tripod to car in a second

The baseplate holds magnetically and latches as well, so switching from a selfie stick to a suction cup or a damping arm takes a second. It fits the Action 6 and the DJI Osmo Nano.

Worth knowing

The cage is built for the DJI Osmo Action 6 only. It does not fit the Action 5 Pro, Action 4 or Action 3 — for the Action 3 Tilta makes the separate TA-T40 cage.

Filters, the mounting baseplate and the Street Snap handle are not part of this item unless the package contents list them explicitly.
