Tilta Camera Cage for Fujifilm X-H2S Basic Kit - Black Tilta

The kit puts together the cage and the three parts most people buy with it anyway: a top handle, a quick release plate and a lens adapter support. The aluminium frame takes the knocks and the wear and turns the camera into the base of a whole rig — mounting points run all the way around.

Mounting points all the way around

The top of the cage carries a cold shoe and 1/4"-20 threads with locating pins; the sides hold two NATO rails, an ARRI standard rosette and an M3 port. The locating pins keep accessories from twisting, so a monitor or a handle stays put even through a long handheld take.

Arca-Swiss in the bottom plate

The bottom plate of the cage uses an Arca-Swiss profile, so it drops straight onto the DJI RS 3 Pro, RS 3 and RS 2 gimbals as well as onto the Tilta Type VI 15mm LWS baseplate. That removes the adapter plate and the extra height that would needlessly raise the centre of gravity.

Battery and buttons stay within reach

The base of the cage leaves the battery compartment open, so the battery can be swapped without taking the cage off. Buttons, port doors and the card slot stay clear as well. The base also holds a slot for the included magnetic screwdriver — the one you mount the cage with.

ARRI rosette and side handles

The side of the cage carries an ARRI standard rosette plus NATO rails for the optional Type IV and VI side handles, a wooden handle or the Compact NATO Top Handle. That turns the cage into a handheld rig with a firm grip even with a heavier lens.

One cage for two bodies

Tilta designed the cage for both the Fujifilm X-H2S and the X-H2 — both bodies fit the same frame with no adapter of any kind. If you own both or move between them, you buy the cage once.

VILTROX lens adapter support

The kit includes a support for the VILTROX EF-FX1 and NF-FX1 adapters that bolts straight onto the cage. The adapter no longer hangs off the lens mount alone, and heavy Canon EF or Nikon F lenses stay aligned even while carrying the rig.

The Compact NATO Top Handle in the kit carries several 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads plus a cold shoe near the front, so a microphone or a light goes right on top. The Manfrotto quick release plate fits compatible Manfrotto heads and saves screwing the rig onto the tripod.

The cage attaches to the body with a 1/4"-20 screw and is held in place by an additional safety locating point that keeps the camera from twisting inside the frame. Loosen the screw before mounting the camera.

Several mounting points are prepared for the optional 15mm single rod holders. It is a lightweight way to secure a follow focus motor on a 15mm rod without building a full rod bracket underneath.

Please note: with the bottom plate of this cage the height from the sensor to the rods does not match the LWS standard. If you need the standard height, use the Type IV baseplate.
