The Tilta DB-LPE6-3FS is a Canon LP-E6 dummy battery with a 44 cm cable ending in a 3-pin Fischer plug. It sits in the battery compartment of a body or accessory that runs on LP-E6 and powers it from a 3-pin Fischer output — designed for the Tilta Universal Battery Plate, but it fits any source with this connector. The body runs the whole shoot without a battery swap.

The Tilta DB-LPE6-3FS replaces the Canon LP-E6 battery with a cable ending in a 3-pin Fischer plug. The dummy battery has the shape and contacts of the original pack, seats in the compartment on the first try and draws its power from outside — from a V-Mount or Gold Mount plate with a 3-pin Fischer output.

LP-E6 dummy battery for Canon and Blackmagic

The dummy battery goes into the battery compartment in place of the Canon LP-E6 pack: into Canon bodies that use this battery (EOS R5, R5 C, R6, R6 Mark II, R7), into the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K, and into accessories powered by LP-E6 such as external monitors or video transmitters. The plastic body of the dummy is ABS, the cable has a rubber jacket and the plug an aluminum-alloy housing; the cable is 44 cm long — just right from the compartment to a plate on the back of the cage.

3-pin Fischer at the other end

The other end of the cable is a 3-pin Fischer plug that connects the dummy to the Tilta Universal Battery Plate (V-Mount and Gold Mount) — the plate has a 3-pin Fischer output next to its P-Tap and 2-pin Lemo ports, so body and accessories run from one large battery. The dummy is not tied to that plate: it connects to any source with a 3-pin Fischer output.

Fischer is a locking connector — once inserted it holds and does not pull out on its own when the cable is tugged. On a cage, where cables snag during handling, that is a more dependable connection than a loose DC plug.
