The Tilta DMW-BLK22 is a replacement battery for Panasonic cameras that take the original DMW-BLK22 cell. Its size and shape match the original, so it drops into the battery compartment without play and without adapters. The difference is the USB-C input on the battery itself: it charges from an ordinary cable off a power bank, a laptop or a mains adapter, so there is no charger to pack. The input handles 5 V / 2 A (10 W) and a full charge takes roughly 2.45 hours.

Inside sits a decoding chip that passes battery data to the body. The camera therefore shows the state of charge as a percentage exactly as with the original and raises no unrecognised-battery message. The 2400 mAh capacity is higher than that of the original cell; measured by Tilta to the CIPA standard, the battery delivers 383 stills or 114 minutes of video on a single charge.
