The Tilta HDA-ESC45-RMB-TG is the Hydra electronic suction cup, 4.5″ (114 mm) across, with a rosette bracket in titanium grey — the same cup the Hydra Alien Mini kits with the electronic cup use. It measures its vacuum a thousand times a second and the motor tops it up if it drops; the 2000 mAh battery lasts over 14 hours and it can run from USB-C too. The ARRI-compatible rosette on the joint on top takes the Hydra Alien Mini shock absorbing arm and other rosette accessories.

The Tilta Electronic Suction Cup (4.5″) with Rosette Mounting Bracket is the base of a Hydra Alien Mini rig: an electronic suction cup that watches itself, with the rosette bracket for the shock absorbing arm on top. It is sold as a replacement for the cup in the Hydra Alien Mini kits with the electronic cup — or as a second base, so the arm moves between vehicles without re-rigging.

The bracket sits on the cup on four M4 screws and carries an ARRI-compatible rosette on top, into which the Hydra Alien Mini shock absorbing arm locks — no adapters, just as in the kits. The rosette sits on a tilting joint, so the arm stands correctly even on a domed bonnet or a sloping pillar. The four M4 screws can be undone and the bracket swapped for another in the 4.5″ cup range: with a NATO rail, with the Hydra M25 thread or the multi-functional one.

A suction cup that watches itself

The 114 mm (4.5″) cup measures pressure a thousand times a second and shows its status on the display; when the vacuum drops, the built-in motor tops it up automatically, so you do not have to check while driving whether it still holds. It attaches in up to 5 seconds with no hand pump. The 2000 mAh battery lasts over 14 hours of normal use, and via USB-C (5 V/1 A) it can run from a power bank. The compartmentalised contact face is 20 % larger than a standard cup's. Clean the surface before use, always press the cup down and balance the arm over its centre; do not use on wrapped paintwork.
