The Tilta HDA-SRK-FTH adapter joins 50 mm speed rail to the vehicle's tow hook: the Speed Rail Car Mounting Kit rig then holds not only on suction cups but also through a solid link to the bodywork. It is the replacement for the adapter in the kit and works as a second one for vehicles with two tow hooks. The next piece of speed rail needs a Speed Rail Mounting Clamp, which is not included; the wrench for fitting is. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta Front Tow Hook Adapter is a part of the Speed Rail Car Mounting Kit — the building set of 50 mm speed rail, clamps and suction cups on which Hydra-type shock absorbing arms are rigged to the bodywork. The adapter grips the vehicle's tow hook and gives the whole structure one point that does not depend on vacuum. Known from the kit, here on its own: as a replacement, or as a second piece for a vehicle with a tow hook on both sides.

A solid point on the bodywork

The adapter grips the front tow hook that most vehicles hide behind a cover in the bumper, and its other end forms a 50 mm tube — the same as the kit's speed rail. The suction-cup structure thus gains one point that holds mechanically: vacuum can change while driving, the thread in the bumper cannot. The screws of the joint are tightened with the included wrench.

50 mm speed rail through a clamp

A Speed Rail Mounting Clamp goes onto the adapter's tube, and only through it does the rest of the kit's speed rail continue; the clamp is not included, the Speed Rail Car Mounting Kit has four. The adapter is aluminium alloy with stainless steel fasteners; the included double-ended wrench tightens the screws on the spot and the foam insert gives the adapter a slot in the kit's case. It serves as a replacement for the piece in the kit and as a second adapter for a vehicle with two tow hooks.
