The Tilta aluminium cage wraps the body of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro or 6K G2 and turns it into a modular system: a monitor, a microphone and a wireless transmitter hang straight off the threads and cold shoes, nothing twists and nothing has to be stacked on adapters. The right side arm unscrews and a lighter half cage is left for the gimbal. The bottom plate fits quick release plates as well as the Blackmagic battery grip.

The Tilta Full Camera Cage TA-T11-FCC-B is an all-aluminium cage for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and 6K G2. It protects the camera body and gives it 1/4″-20 threads with locating pins, cold shoe receivers, a NATO rail and ARRI compatible rosettes. The right side arm comes off to turn the full cage into a half cage for a gimbal; the bottom plate is compatible with the ARCA receiver of the DJI RS 2 plate and can also be moved onto the original battery grip.

Aluminium armour around the whole camera body

The cage wraps around the body of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro and 6K G2 and protects it from wear and knocks. 1/4″-20 threads with locating pins run all around it so accessories cannot twist, plus cold shoe receivers and a NATO rail for Type IV and VI side handles. The body is aluminium alloy and stainless steel.

Fits with the original battery grip too

The cage is designed around the original Blackmagic Design battery grip. In the half cage setup the bottom plate moves to the underside of the grip, so the rig stays together and can still go on a tripod or gimbal. The grip is not included.

The right side arm comes off

The right side module unscrews and the full cage becomes a half cage — a lighter build for a gimbal or aerial work. The arm carries an ARRI compatible rosette for the Adjustable Top Handle Plus, 1/4″-20 threads with locating pins and a NATO rail.

Top plate with cold shoes

The top plate has cold shoe receivers plus 1/4″-20 threads, so a monitor, a microphone and a wireless receiver all fit at once without stacking them on adapters. The rod ports at the front take Tilta single rod holders.

15 mm rod holder for the battery grip

With the original battery grip on the camera, the 15 mm rod holder bolts onto the rig and two rods reach out in front of the lens. A follow focus, a lens support or a matte box then rides on them. The holder is part of the Basic Kit and with the bare cage it is bought separately; the rods themselves are not in the Basic Kit, they only come with the Advanced Kit.

Move the viewfinder off the camera

The electronic viewfinder that Blackmagic sells separately for the BMPCC 6K Pro does not have to sit on the camera body. The Tilta extension cable (TA-T11-EEC-30 or -60) carries the signal to it and the Tiltaing EVF Extension Bracket holds it where you need it — above the camera, to the side, upright. That helps handheld and on a gimbal alike. The viewfinder, the cable and the bracket are not part of the kit.

The base of a full cinema rig

The cage is the base for a full cinema rig: matte box, follow focus and accessories on articulating arms. Everything holds on 1/4″-20 threads with locating pins, on the NATO rail and on the ARRI rosettes, so nothing twists and it all comes apart again.

Cage dimensions and weight

The cage alone measures 195.7 × 145 × 110 mm and weighs 187.3 g. The bottom plate offers several 1/4″-20 points for third-party quick release plates and is compatible with the ARCA receiver of the DJI RS 2 mounting plate, so the camera moves onto the gimbal without further adapters.

What to watch out for

Camera, lens and battery grip are not included.

The 15 mm rod holder, top handle, side handles and the viewfinder extension cable are bought separately for the bare cage — or take the Basic Kit or Advanced Kit, where they are already included.
