The Tilta Full Camera Cage TA-T88-FCC-TG in titanium gray wraps the Sony FX2 in an aluminum alloy frame and adds a NATO rail, cold shoe, 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, two HDMI and USB-C cable clamps with thumb screws and a detachable ARCA bottom plate for tripod and DJI gimbal. It keeps the EVF, all ports and controls accessible and still takes the original Sony XLR handle.

The Tilta Full Camera Cage for Sony FX2 is protective armor that covers nothing on the camera: the EVF, the flip-out screen, the ports and the battery stay clear. The cage adds mounting points for a monitor, handles, a battery plate and rods, and the ARCA bottom plate moves between tripod and gimbal without re-screwing. The titanium gray finish matches the other Tilta parts in that color.

A cage tailored to the Sony FX2

The aluminum alloy frame with stainless steel screws follows the FX2 body and protects it from wear and knocks in daily use. The cage leaves the EVF, the flip-out screen, the battery compartment and all ports clear and still takes the original Sony XLR handle. The assembly consists of the cage, a hot shoe top plate, the ARCA bottom plate and two cable clamps.

HDMI and USB-C cable clamps

The cage includes two cable clamps: one holds the HDMI cable, the other USB-C or MULTI. Both tighten with thumb screws without tools, secure the plug against pull-out and rotation and spare the camera sockets when working with a monitor, recorder or external power. The clamps can be removed when the cabling does not need them.

Detachable ARCA bottom plate

The bottom plate has an ARCA profile on both sides, so it moves from a DJI gimbal to a tripod without re-screwing. The plate can be removed and screwed to the side of the cage for vertical shooting — the camera then sits on the tripod on its side for social media. The plate uses the ARCA standard as defined by DJI; it may not fit other ARCA heads.

Mounting points for expansion

The cage carries a cold shoe, a NATO rail, a row of 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins and points for a single 15 mm rod holder. The diagram shows what sits where: the cable clamps, the ARCA bottom plate, the 3/8"-16 to 1/4"-20 thread adapter, the silicone anti-slip pad, the lens adapter support and the multi-functional magnetic screwdriver from the series equipment.

Monitor, handle, battery

The cold shoe or NATO rail takes a monitor on a ball joint, the Tilta Xeno top handle or a light; the threads with locating pins take a side handle, the Mini PD V-Mount battery plate or a 15 mm rod adapter. The locating pins prevent rotation, so heavier accessories stay firm even when shooting handheld.

Compatible with Tilta accessories

The cage is built for the Tilta system: the XLR extension bracket for the Sony handle, the Mini PD V-Mount battery plate, the lens adapter support for PL and EF adapters and the NP-FZ100 battery with USB-C. The parts share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with locating pins, the NATO rail and the cold shoe, so they combine without adapters.

Elegant and comfortable in the hand

The Tilta Xeno top handle on the NATO rail is ergonomically shaped and carries further mounting points for accessories. The XLR handle with extension bracket moves the original Sony handle up and back — a more comfortable grip and more room for a monitor or microphone.
