The Gimbal Ring Adapter for Mini V-Mount Battery Plate hangs the Mini or Pocket V-Mount battery plate on a gimbal support ring of 25 or 30 mm diameter. The battery then loads the gimbal frame rather than the camera — balancing gets simpler, and the camera keeps its payload for a follow focus motor or a matte box.

Hang the battery on the camera and the gimbal has to carry and balance it. Hang it on the gimbal ring and it only takes from the total payload, leaving the balance alone. That is exactly what this adapter allows: it clamps a 25 or 30 mm support ring and offers a mount for the Mini or Pocket V-Mount plate.

For 25 and 30 mm support rings

The clamp closes around a gimbal support ring of 25 or 30 millimetres diameter — the usual size on ring-type frames. It wraps the full circumference, so the adapter will not slide down once the battery loads it.

1/4″-20 screw with locating pin

On the opposite side sits a 1/4″-20 screw with an added locating pin. The pin stops the plate from turning, so the battery stays in the set position even after a long day of moving shots.

The battery away from the camera

A battery hung on the gimbal frame does not load the camera. Balancing gets simpler, and the payload the battery would otherwise consume is left for a follow focus motor, a matte box or a wireless transmitter.
