The Tilta HDA-T15-HH-TG handle turns the Hydra Alien Mini shock absorbing arm into a stabilised handheld mount. It fits the arm's rosette in place of the suction cup, the handle angle adjusts to your grip, and the damped arm then absorbs footsteps and jolts when running or walking over rough ground. The body is aluminium alloy and stainless steel, in titanium grey.

The handle for Hydra Alien Mini is the mechanical part that connects the shock absorbing arm to your hand. Instead of holding an action camera or Osmo Pocket bare-handed, you hold a comfortable grip with the whole shock absorbing arm between you and the camera — a difference you see in the footage at every step. The arm in your hand instead of on a vehicle

The handle bolts to the rosette of the Hydra Alien Mini shock absorbing arm where the suction cup or handlebar mount would otherwise sit. The rig then becomes a self-contained handheld stabiliser: the hydraulically damped arm evens out the vertical shocks of running, stairs or uneven ground, and the camera on top rides smoothly. Switching from vehicle to hand is a matter of one rosette.

Adjustable angle, secure grip

The joint to the arm is a toothed rosette, so the handle angle sets to how you hold the rig — low at your side, in front of you or overhead — and the lock keeps it there. The shaped grip sits in the hand more securely than an action camera alone and carries the weight of the arm with a camera of up to 600 g. The body is aluminium alloy and stainless steel; the titanium grey finish matches the other Alien Mini parts.

The Hydra Alien Mini system

Hydra Alien Mini is Tilta's damped mount for action cameras, pocket gimbals and phones up to 600 g: a hydraulically damped arm that sticks to a car with the electronic suction cup, bolts to the handlebar of a bicycle or motorcycle, or goes handheld. The parts connect through a rosette and a 1/4″-20 thread, so one rig is reconfigured to suit the vehicle — this part is one of them.
