The Tilta TA-T68-CC-B cable clamp secures the HDMI and USB-C cables plugged into a Canon EOS R5 Mark II so they cannot work loose handheld, on a gimbal or while recording externally. The maker states it clamps directly onto the camera body with three thumbscrews, so it works with the TA-T68-FCC2-B cage, the TA-T68-HCC-B half cage or with no cage at all. One part holds both cables.

The Tilta TA-T68-CC-B cable clamp deals with the commonest annoyance of external recording: an HDMI or USB-C cable pulling out mid-take.

Two cables, one clamp

The clamp has two channels — one for HDMI, one for USB-C — and secures both cables at once. It tightens with thumbscrews, so neither fitting it nor swapping a cable needs tools. The connector stays put handheld, on a gimbal or while recording externally.

It fits the body, not the cage

The maker states that the clamp mounts directly onto the camera body rather than onto a cage. It can therefore be used with the TA-T68-FCC2-B full cage, with the TA-T68-HCC-B half cage, or with the bare camera.

Compatibility

The clamp is made specifically for the ports of the Canon EOS R5 Mark II. It does not fit other bodies — not even the first-generation Canon EOS R5. A cage is not required.
