The Tilta Khronos Cooling Storage System combines quiet active iPhone cooling with storage you can back your footage up to right on location. Inside there is an M.2 SSD slot (2230 or 2242), an SD reader and a TF reader; a switch selects which one is presented to the phone or the computer. Over USB-C the SSD reaches up to 1024 MB/s, the cards up to 312 MB/s, and pass-through PD charging goes to 100 W. It holds magnetically via MagSafe, on a bare iPhone or on the Khronos case. Space Gray finish.

The Cooling Storage System solves two problems at once. Underneath sits an aluminium cooler with a quiet fan that keeps the iPhone within its operating temperature through long takes; inside sits storage you can back the footage up to on location, without looking for a laptop.

Inside there is an M.2 SSD slot in 2230 or 2242 format, an SD card reader and a TF (microSD) card reader. A switch on the bottom edge selects which storage is presented to the connected device, and the indicator LED shows what is active by colour: red for SSD, green for SD, blue for TF, purple for power. The SSD and the cards are not included.

Data and power both run over two USB-C ports. The HOST port carries data and outputs up to 20 V / 3 A (60 W); the PD IN port accepts up to 20 V / 5 A (100 W) and feeds both the system and the phone. The external supply has to deliver more than 35 W. Manufacturer speeds: SSD up to 1024 MB/s (10 Gb/s), SD and TF cards up to 312 MB/s.

Manufacturer’s note: with the Cooling Storage System fitted, the Khronos USB-C hub has limited mounting options — it cannot be attached to the bottom of the Khronos case in a standard horizontal configuration. No battery is included; the system always needs an external supply.
