The Tilta Khronos Cooling System V2 cooling module in Black holds magnetically via MagSafe on the back of an iPhone — with or without the Khronos case — and carries away the heat that ends long recordings with a warning and throttled performance. The 22 W fan spinning at up to 6,700 rpm brings the cooling surface down to as low as 4 °C. It is powered over USB-C or through the case contacts and charges the phone wirelessly at the same time.

Khronos Cooling System V2 is active cooling for iPhone 15, 16, 17 and 18 Pro / Pro Max. It fits a bare phone as well as the Khronos case, has no battery of its own and is powered externally — so it weighs little and keeps cooling for as long as the recording runs.

Magnetic on the case or on the bare phone

The module attaches to the back of the iPhone with the MagSafe magnetic connection; the built-in core of N52 magnets holds firmly enough that the cooler stays put even when shooting handheld. The Khronos case is not a requirement — the cooler fits the phone on its own. With the case, though, you gain a second power source: the case's electrical contacts, through which the Focus PD handle, for example, feeds the module, and the cable to the cooler goes away.

22 W cooling with variable speed

Under the grille works a 22 W cooler with variable-frequency speed — it spins at up to 6,700 rpm and can bring the cooling surface down to as low as 4 °C (39 °F). Heat is carried away continuously, not only once the iPhone starts dimming the display and throttling performance, so long 4K takes, streaming or Apple Log recording run through without interruption. The aluminum body with rubber pads adds little weight to the phone.

Power and charging the phone

The module has no battery of its own — it needs an external source, either by cable into the USB-C connector or through the Khronos case contacts fed by the Focus PD handle. The connected source also charges the iPhone itself wirelessly through the cooler, at 5 W or 10 W depending on the selected mode. Cooling and charging therefore happen at the same time, over a single cable. Two buttons on the front of the module switch the cooling level (standard / increased) and the wireless charging power (5 W / 10 W); the indicator shows the selected level by colour. The module measures 74.9 × 58.4 × 23 mm and weighs 100 g.
