The Tilta MB-T17-LSF left flag is a carbon-fibre flag for the Mirage Pro matte box. It mounts on the side of the matte box body and cuts light that would otherwise strike the filters and the front element at an angle. With the top, bottom and second side flag you shade light from all four sides. The flag is carbon fibre, fits without tools and is not included in the MB-T17 or MB-T17-A kits — it is bought separately.

The Left Flag for the Tilta Mirage Pro Matte Box is a removable carbon-fibre flag for the side of the matte box. It complements the top flag included in the kits with shading from the side — the direction most flare comes from when you shoot into the sun.

Cuts light from the side

The side flag mounts on the side of the matte box body and folds to whatever angle you need. It cuts light arriving obliquely from outside — exactly the light that veils the image and creates ghosts between the filter glass and the front element. With the top, bottom and second side flag the matte box is covered on all four sides.

Carbon fibre, no tools needed

The flag is carbon fibre throughout, so it adds practically no weight, and its surface is matte so it does not reflect on its own. It fits on the matte box body without tools and comes off just as quickly when the rig needs to be shortened — for gimbal work, for instance.
