The Tilta DB-LPE6-DCM13 is a Canon LP-E6 dummy battery with a cable ending in a right-angle 3.5/1.35 mm DC male plug. It sits in the battery compartment of a body or accessory that runs on LP-E6 and powers it from a DC output — made for Tilta's side power and focus handles, which carry a 3.5/1.35 mm socket. The voltage is regulated to the value of a standard LP-E6 battery, so a Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K/6K or a monitor runs the whole shoot without a battery swap.

The Tilta DB-LPE6-DCM13 replaces the Canon LP-E6 battery with a cable ending in a 3.5/1.35 mm DC plug. The dummy battery has the shape and contacts of the original pack, seats in the compartment on the first try and draws its power from outside — from a Tilta side handle with its own battery, so body and handle form one compact unit with no V-Mount plate.

LP-E6 dummy battery for Blackmagic and Canon

The dummy battery goes into the battery compartment in place of the Canon LP-E6 pack: into the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 4K and 6K, into Canon bodies that use this battery (EOS R5, R5 C, R6, R6 Mark II, R7), and into accessories powered by LP-E6 such as external monitors or wireless video transmitters. The voltage is regulated to the value of a standard LP-E6 battery, so the device cannot tell the difference. The construction is stainless steel, copper, rubber and ABS plastic.

3.5/1.35 mm DC into a Tilta side handle

The other end of the cable is a right-angle 3.5/1.35 mm DC plug — it fits the DC output of Tilta's side power and focus handles (Tiltaing Side Power Handle and Side Focus Handle), which carry their own Sony F970- or F570-series battery. The camera then runs from the battery in the handle you are holding anyway, and no plate or extra cable is added to the cage. The right-angle plug routes the cable along the handle rather than away from it.

Tilta dummy batteries

A dummy battery has the shape and contacts of the original pack, sits in the battery compartment and brings power in by cable from outside — from a V-Mount or Gold Mount plate via P-Tap, from a USB-C PD source, over 2-pin Lemo or a DC output. The body then runs the whole shoot without a battery swap. Tilta's DB series covers Canon LP-E6 and BP, Sony NP-FZ100 and the A9 series and Panasonic GH; this cable is one of them.
