The Tilta GSS-T01-QPA adapter mounts a camera or a dual handle bracket straight onto the stabilizing arm of the Tilta Float system. On top sits a standard 126 × 50 mm Manfrotto quick release plate, underneath a collar for a 13 mm arm, and between them a ball head with 360° rotation and 15° tilt. Moving from a Manfrotto tripod head to the Float takes seconds. Aluminium alloy, 239.7 g.

The Float takes the load off the arms by carrying the rig on a spring loaded arm anchored in a vest. The QPA adapter is the piece that hangs the camera on that arm — and because it uses an ordinary Manfrotto plate, it also fits the tripod heads you already own.

Camera straight onto the Float arm

The adapter carries the camera on the Tilta Float stabilizing arm, so handheld work can go on longer and steadier. The arm evens out vertical bounce while the image keeps its organic handheld character — unlike a gimbal, which smooths the motion out completely.

Collar for a 13 mm arm

The lower collar fits an arm of 13 mm diameter, so the Tilta Float and any other system with the same diameter. A locking lever secures the adapter on the arm and releases it again when the balance point needs adjusting.

Standard Manfrotto plate

The quick release plate measures 126 × 50 mm and follows the common Manfrotto standard. The camera bolts to it with a 1/4"-20 screw and a safety pin keeps it from sliding out. The plate’s locking toggle lets the camera slide forwards or backwards to find the balance.

From tripod to Float and back

Because the plate is a standard one, the same camera with the same plate drops onto a compatible Manfrotto tripod head. Switching between tripod and Float arm needs no screwdriver and no hunting for tools.

Ronin 4D and other rigs

The manufacturer recommends the adapter above all for the DJI Ronin 4D — the camera’s built-in stabilization and the spring loaded arm complement one another while the arm takes the weight off the arms. It works just as well under any other camera with a 1/4"-20 thread that has to be carried for long handheld takes. The ball head with 360° rotation and 15° tilt trims the angle and the balance and locks with its own lever.
