The Tilta TA-QRBP1-B is a Manfrotto quick release plate for Tiltaing cages. It screws to the bottom of the cage with four screws, and the camera then sits in Manfrotto 577, 500 and 701 receivers — drop in, click, lift off. It does not fit the Tiltaing cage for BMPCC 4K/6K, which has its own Type II. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, in black.

The Tilta TA-QRBP1-B is the plate that gives a Tiltaing cage the Manfrotto profile: a tripod head or arm with a Manfrotto receiver takes it without any further adapter.

Manfrotto profile under the cage

The plate has the profile of the Manfrotto quick release system, so it clicks into a Manfrotto 577 receiver, 500-series heads and the 701. The camera with its cage drops into the head and clicks in, and comes off just as quickly — moving between tripod, arm and handheld takes no screwing.

Four screws into the bottom of the Tiltaing cage

The plate screws to the bottom of the Tiltaing cage with four hex screws, included together with the key. The hole spacing matches the Tiltaing cages for mirrorless cameras; the plate does not fit the Tiltaing cage for BMPCC 4K/6K — that one takes the Manfrotto Quick Release Plate Type II. The body is aluminium alloy and stainless steel in black.

Tiltaing handles and plates

The Tiltaing range builds the rig around the cage from parts that fit together: side handles with a REC button powered by a Sony F570/F970 battery or USB-C PD, wooden and quick-release top handles, handle adapters to an ARRI rosette, 15 mm LWS baseplates with a Manfrotto or ARCA plate and battery plates with P-Tap and USB-C outputs. They share 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads with ARRI locating pins, NATO rails and ARRI rosettes. This part is one of them.
