The Tilta HDA-MMB multi-functional bracket bolts onto the Hydra 4.5″ electronic suction cup with four M4 screws and offers a 32 mm ARRI rosette on top plus 1/4″-20 threads with holes for locating pins. One cup thus takes a handle or an arm with a rosette as readily as a holder, a magic arm or a small monitor on a screw. The bracket is aluminium alloy, black; a 3 mm Allen key is included.

The Tilta Multi-Functional Mounting Bracket is one of three interchangeable brackets for the Hydra 4.5″ electronic suction cup, alongside the Hydra M25 bracket and the NATO rail bracket. It is the universal one: a 32 mm ARRI rosette for arms and handles, plus 1/4″-20 threads with locating holes for accessories that need to screw on and not twist.

Straight onto the 4.5″ electronic suction cup

The bracket sits on the top face of the Hydra 4.5″ electronic suction cup and is held by four M4 screws. The joint is as rigid as a fixed mount, yet the included 3 mm Allen key takes it apart to swap for another bracket in the range — the Hydra M25 bracket or the NATO rail bracket. The cup from any Hydra kit with the 4.5″ electronic cup thus serves several rigs.

32 mm ARRI rosette and 1/4″-20 threads

The top plate carries a 32 mm ARRI rosette — an arm or a handle with the matching rosette goes on, and the teeth hold the set angle even over bumps. Beside it are 1/4″-20 threads with holes for locating pins, so a monitor holder, a magic arm or other accessory screws on and does not twist. The electronic cup underneath monitors its own vacuum and tops it up when it drops.

The Tilta Hydra system
