The Tilta Multi-Functional NATO Mounting Bracket is a cube barely 36 mm across that turns one spot on the cage into three. It slides onto a NATO rail, moves to the right position and locks with a lever; three cold shoe receivers on top and on the sides take a microphone, a light, a monitor or a phone mount. Add several 1/4″-20 threads with locating holes and one 3/8″-16. It weighs 53 g and carries 2 kg.

The Tilta Multi-Functional NATO Mounting Bracket solves a situation familiar to anyone who has hung a microphone and a light on a cage at once: space runs out and the accessories get in each other’s way. The bracket gathers three mounting points into a cube the size of a sugar lump, which slides along the NATO rail to exactly where nothing is in shot.

Mounting on a NATO rail

The bracket sits on a NATO rail and locks with a lever. You can change its position in a second and without tools — handy when the cage is crowded and the microphone has to give way to the monitor. It fits the integrated NATO rails on most Tilta cages as well as separate NATO rail attachments that add a rail to a cage without one.

Three cold shoe receivers in one piece

The cube carries three cold shoe receivers — on top and on both sides. One spot then holds a shotgun microphone, a small LED light and a monitor or phone mount besides. Instead of three separate mounts scattered around the cage you get a single point the whole cluster turns around at once.

One-way slide-in and anti-slip

The receivers only travel one way, so an accessory cannot be pulled out the side it went in. Three walls of each receiver are anti-slip as well. Neither microphone nor light works loose walking handheld or shooting from a moving car.

1/4″-20 and 3/8″-16 threads

Besides the cold shoes, the cube carries several 1/4″-20 threads with locating holes and one 3/8″-16 with a locating pin. The locating hole holds an accessory against rotation, so a light arm or mount will not slacken on its own. That lets you screw on things with no cold shoe foot at all.

Palm-sized and made of aluminium

The whole piece is machined from aluminium alloy and fits in the palm — it goes on and off one-handed. Load capacity is 2 kg, which covers a microphone, a light and a smaller monitor at once, and its weight changes practically nothing about the rig.
