The Tilta TA-PMB5-NT-B is the NATO adapter for the Tilta Rotatable Phone Mounting Bracket V2. On top it has a 1/4"-20 screw with locating pins that attaches it to the base of the bracket, underneath a NATO clamp with a LOCK lever that drops onto the NATO rail of a cage, handle or arm. A phone used as a monitor or second camera goes on and off the rig without tools. Aluminium alloy and stainless steel, black.

The Tilta TA-PMB5-NT-B is one of the interchangeable adapters of the Rotatable Phone Mounting Bracket V2 — the one that puts it on a NATO rail.

1/4"-20 screw with locating pins for the phone bracket

The top of the adapter carries a 1/4"-20 screw and two locating pins. The screw turns into the thread in the base of the Rotatable Phone Mounting Bracket V2, the pins drop into the holes beside it and the bracket does not twist on the adapter even with a heavier phone. All versions of the V2 bracket share the same base, so the adapter can be swapped for its siblings with a cold shoe, 1/4"-20 thread, 15 mm rod or handlebar mount.

NATO clamp with a LOCK lever

The underside is a NATO clamp: it drops onto the NATO rail from above, the LOCK lever folds down and the clamp grips the rail. The phone bracket sits on the side of the cage, on the top handle or on an arm as firmly as if bolted, yet comes off in one move — when the phone serves as a preview monitor at the camera and a moment later shoots handheld again. No tools and no screwing.

The Tilta NATO system

A NATO rail is a dovetail profile the clamp drops onto from above and locks with a lever — no screwing, repeatable, with a safety catch against sliding off. Tilta puts it on cages, handles and arms and backs it with adapters: clamps with a joint for a monitor, adapters from NATO to cold shoe, ARCA or 1/4"-20 thread, rod holders and rails that add the NATO interface where it is missing.
