The Tilta Nucleus-M Motor Kit I is an additional motor for the Nucleus-M wireless lens control system with a 7pin–7pin connection cable (55 cm). It adds another channel to the set — focus, iris or zoom — and clamps to 15 mm or 19 mm rods with the motor rod mount. Power comes daisy-chained from another Nucleus-M motor or from the P-Tap cable, and the FIZ hand unit or Nucleus-M hand grips drive it.

The Tilta Nucleus-M Motor Kit I is the basic building block of the Nucleus-M system: one motor with a 0.8 MOD motor gear and rod mount, plus a 7pin–7pin connection cable. It joins an existing set when you need a second or third channel — focus, iris and zoom each on their own.

Motor and cable in one kit

The package holds the Nucleus-M motor and a 55 cm 7pin–7pin connection cable. The cable carries both power and communication: the first motor in the chain gets power from the P-Tap to 7pin power cable, further motors daisy-chain with this very cable and need no source of their own.

0.8 MOD motor gear and two 7pin ports

The motor ships with a 0.8 MOD motor gear that meshes with the gear rings of cine lenses; for other pitches there are interchangeable 0.4 to 0.7 MOD gears. The two 7pin ports serve daisy-chaining, and the free port takes a run/stop cable so the FIZ hand unit or hand grips can trigger the camera. End-stop calibration is automatic, manual on lenses without hard stops.

Mount for 15 mm and 19 mm rods

The motor rod mount tightens with a toggle screw and holds the motor on 15 mm and 19 mm rods alike — the motor fits a light rig as securely as a studio build. The body is aluminum alloy and stainless steel in Tilta Gray, matching the other Nucleus-M parts. The motor is driven by the FIZ hand unit or Nucleus-M hand grips; thanks to backward compatibility, the Nucleus-M II FIZ hand unit drives it too.

The Tilta Nucleus-M system

Nucleus-M (WLC-T03 series) is wireless lens control: motors on 15/19 mm rods turn focus, iris and zoom, the FIZ hand unit or hand grips with a wheel drive them remotely, and power runs over 7-pin cables — from a P-Tap plate or daisy-chained motor to motor. The WLC-T03 parts combine: motor gears, cables, grip adapters, bridge and case all belong to the same system, including this one.
